Pop diva Lady Gaga has become the first person with more than 10 million followers on Twitter.
“10MillionMonsters! I’m speechless, we did it! Its an illness how I love you. Leaving London smiling,” the “Born This Way” singer remarked after reaching the milestone over the weekend.
It’s hardly the first online record for the Grammy winner. Gaga became the first person to reach 9 million Twitter followers on March 28 — her 25th birthday. Last August, she overtook pop rival Britney Spears to become the most-followed Tweeter, amassing 5.7 million followers on the popular social networking site.
Even the folks who run the leading microblogging hub on the web can barely believe the news.
